The crack re-elect Gibbons and Nevada state gubernatorial In-kind Donation Committee has apparently discovered the theme for Jim Gibbons’ re-election effort. Besides using taxpayer funded official state press releases to get out its latest buffoonery, the team has decided that the Gibbers’ best chance lies with an appeal to animal lovers and the Irish. How else to [...] Huh. I guess the Gube is giving up on that Back to 1864 thing. In his most recent campaign e-mail, he complains that Nevada’s current educational system was “structured” more than a 100 years ago. I suspect he meant “created” since the school system has in fact been changed many times over that period. Funny too how [...] Couple of weirdities showed up this week in Gibbons’ Country leading to the perennial question: Why isn’t Jim Gibbons in jail? Mr. Fiscal Responsibility Gibbons has allowed the security folk to dump a bunch of rocks on the Carson City Capitol grounds over a letter sent to all 50 governors that turned out hardly to be threatening [...] One of Jim Gibbons’ staffers–campaign, gubernatorial, what’s the difference?–was sporting a cheaply made campaign button at the Teabaggers for Political Elites rally up in Carson the other day. The button proclaimed proudly that “Governor Gibbons: He Kept His Promise.” The button can only raise the question: which promise was that? Was it the promise to love and honor [...] Nevada governor Jim Gibbons, or “Moses” as the gube staff/re-elect the guv committee likes to call him, got all biblical yesterday on his 423rd appearance on Fox News: Well, I think you see the — actually, the firestorm of politics in Nevada, no different than the firestorm of politics that’s brewing across the [...] Now, I was under the impression that Attorney General Cortez-Masto was holding her own in the dust-up between her and Gube Jim Gibbons, who is trying to force her to file the frivolous law suit against the new health care law. Why, look what she said yesterday in response to his latest vitriolic attack: Masto’s wrote [...] And that non-barred lawyer would be the failed governor of Nevada. Listen to the Gube on the radio over here. Of course, it’s on a radio show which “absolutely agrees” with the guv, who doesn’t like to talk to mainstream media. Don’t miss the caller asking the Gube to declare “sovereignty” for Nevada. That’s where states pass [...] Yes, who could resist the prospect of 6 hours in the Jim Gibbons’ Gibbus on a trip to the Sideshow in Searchlight as the Guv, desperate to save his candidacy, attempts to attach himself to every pathetic political fad that stumbles by? Added bonus: the Gube will be joining the trip in Laughlin as he will [...] No doubt everyone is anxiously awaiting the results of yet another Gibbons’ task force. After all, just think of all the groundbreaking ideas that were made into world-changing policies that came out of all those committees that Gibbons threw together at the beginning of his first and last term.
