Oh, okay, it’s not really called a “Høøt the Gøøb” party, but I’m sure the senator won’t mind some høøting during the [...]]]> Nevada Senate Majority Leader Steven Horford is having a Høøt the Gøøb party in Nor’Town during Nevada governor Jim Gibbons’ “emergency” state of the state (subtitled: time to move to Idaho!) speech this Monday.

  • Modest suggestion to the Nevada Senate Majority Leader: it's pointless to take on the Gube now that the Gube is, well, pointless. Gibbons will now spend the rest of his term playing to the snaggle-toothed bumpkins and defense contractor 20-percenters up north whom the Guv still thinks support him. From here on out, the correct response to Gubernatorial goofiness is to shrug one's shoulders, flash that winning Nor'Townie grin, and say "there he goes again," and then go about your business as if he doesn't exist. Which he doesn't now and certainly won't in two more years. Bloviating bloggers and their hard-copy, wannabe imitators are excepted from that policy, natch.
  • Um, it looks like there aren't any 20-percenters left, tho, as another snaggle-toothed bumpkin jumps ship. (VT&S)
  • Governor reveals more of his hands on, micromanaging style as we learn that he really does fly around in a plane low on gas and flown by a teen without a clue. (Sun) Wasn't it the Gube who keeps telling us he was a fighter pilot? Don't flyboys ever check the gas gauge?
  • Gibbons plays to the 20-percenters by penning what the Assembly Spokestress too charitably deemed a "slightly incoherent" note to Obama wherein he petulantly pretends that he may refuse fed money he begged for. (INP,RJ,NVDems,AP) You know, the real solution here might be for the Legislature to make it illegal for the Governor to own a pen.
  • Hmm. I wonder if old Chyck Mythy is in the market to buy the URL votegibbonsout.com? Except, I suppose, he'd have to pay with one of those Amodei checks.
