Opening the path for a Jim Gibbons, um, resurgence, Dawn has agreed to a divorce settlement and allowed the Gøøber to avoid a no doubt grotesque and utterly embarrassing public trial. (AP,INP) So, how much was it worth the Gube to keep his pathetic election hopes alive for a few more months? Half of the Reno house, [...] If'n anybody had any doubts about the Gube calling a special session of the Legislature in the next month or so, reading the exposé of the horror that was the Gøøber marriage should remove all doubts. (RENOmag) Geez, is this the sort of thing us'n Nevada Republicans were out to protect with that so-called Protect Marriage Act? [...] Boy, oh, boy, oh boy! Now, could you possibly picture Brian Sandoval or Wazzisname from North Las Vegas–you know, the guy who signed over a $337,000 golden parachute to the city manager up there, you know, the guy against government waste–doing what Jim Gibbons, the best GOP candidate for Nevada Governor, did today? What was that, you [...] Watch the Gøøber beg you not to hold him responsible for his record and other things “beyond his control.” Watch him say, with a straight face: “What we did was right!” And then we learn of a strange new group of people called “TeeVee Readers.” Eh, [...] That special session of the legislature that is so, so necessary for plugging up holes in the budget is pretty much a sure thing, I'm guessing, now that Jim and Dawn will going to trial over Jimbo's inability to keep it zipped up. (RJ) Hope Legislators won't mind meeting between Christmas and New Year's cuz [...] The fun never stops at that Gube divorce trial. The Knappster has filed more tidbits from the scurrilous spectacle: The identity of the newest witness [at the Gibbers' divorce trial] has been kept quiet for many months because she says she was threatened years ago to keep her mouth shut.Keep her mouth shut about what, you ask? [...] I always thought the main target of a desperate, distractive invasion by the desperate, distracted Gøøber would be Utah. You know, a quick strike along the border and then a negotiated peace that would leave us with Milford. But, no, the Gube is apparently after Armenia. (Gleany) Well, now we know why Uithoven wrote that op-ed for the Goober over the weekend. It was a preemptive attack to keep the 20-percenter faithful from getting too skittish when the latest round of reports from the Gube's divorce come out. And they're out. (RJ) Not only do we get to hear that Dawn thought Gibbers was fooling [...] The Governors headed to court again. Or is that courts? US Magistrate Robert McQuaid will be deciding if references to the Gibbons' divorce should be removed from the complaint by fired Gube staffer Mary Keating against Gibbers and a wife-mauling minion that she was wrongly discharged. Keating, not the wife. Gube lawyers claim that the divorce stuff [...] FIrst, a non-Gubelet: POTUS proves in final palaver that he's from another planet. (Olbermann) |
