Let's see. Here we are in the midst of a terrible budget crunch, and you'd think a Gube desperate to avoid destroying his state utterly and completely would want to remain dignified and diplomatic in the hopes of forging a bipartisan solution. Wrongo! Gibbons was channeling Nixon on acid again today as he calls the Spokestress of [...] You have to hand it to the Governor. He has fulfilled his promise from his first state of the state, namely that he would unify Nevada. It’s just that he’s unified it against him. Now that his Bush-One moment is sinking into the consciousness of the loonies who supported him because of his no-taxes pledge, his pals have [...] Who’s Kathy? You’re asking me? (RJ,CN24-7) It seems that I haven’t been handed a copy of the Secret Squirrel Nevada Back Room Code Book yet. In an earlier post I suggested that Gibbons was trying to shine up a turd of an idea to steal money from local governments to fund his salary, his fusion center and other state projects, by attributing it [...] The Governor revealed his secret plan to fix the state’s financial woes: steal from city and county governments to fund state shortfalls. (MM) In a rambling, repetitious interview with his octogenarian buddies on the Review Journal Editorial Bored, Gibbons revealed the plan, unvetted by anyone except the Governor’s dysfunctional critical thinking brain center–the one which keeps most [...] Sue the governor!!!…naw, too much work, conclude Nevada legislators. (RJ) But it’s always entertaining to see old man Raggio defending the Governor, who has made pronouncements about cuts, and then withdrawn them. He Another week passes, another budget plan appears out of the top secret inner corridors of the Governor’s mansion, carefully timed to appear when most people wouldn’t notice. The Gube is praised in excelling at one thing: sneakiness. But, then again, playing "what if" and imagining how Governor Dina Titus would [...] Clark County Schools Superintendent Walter "has ridges" Rulffes seemed a bit confused after last weeks meeting with the Grinch in Chief. It appears that the Gube told the state’s educators that the law requires the Gube to spread budget cuts over all departments. For that reason he couldn’t exclude K-12 schools.
