Our Work Here Is Done, Tonto

Who was that masked man? It’s official. The Associated Press called the Nevada Republican Governor’s primary race for Brian Sandoval a while ago, and thus endeth the perplexing political career of one James Tiberius Gibbons.

As such, it would be truly moronic to continue a blog called Vote Gibbons Out, unless one planned to discuss the failing of political apes. Granted that wouldn’t be much of a stretch.

Whether I will continue to blog on anything at this point is an open question I have yet to resolve. There is Nor’Town, but whether I will continue that project is unknown as well. In any case, I will be taken an extended hiatus from blogging. That may extend to a time at which blogging will have joined the likes of Hula Hoops and iPads.

I suppose if the lame duck interregnum becomes too awful, I might feel compelled to say something. We’ll see.

To my fans, all two of you, I extend my best wishes. I’d leave a silver bullet, too, but I can hardly afford in Nevada’s current economy, or lack thereof.

    ScandalPerson… job well done.
Maybe this will be the last comment.. I deserve it.
THE VOTING SYSTEM STINKS AND I CAN PROVE IT (NOT COUNTING GIBBONS)

    WHAT WERE THE CHANCES?
(also posted to the Reno Gazette)
Reno’s Sam Dehne with 10% of the vote?
    “Slaughtered” by 2 virtual unknowns.
Any scientist would say that the permutations and combinations of mathematical law demand that vote counting percentages (with 16 counties each having precisely between 9 and 12% of its citizens voting for Sam) like those perpetrated by the vote stealing counters are statistically and logically IMPOSSIBLE.
    It looks like either:
    A. 9 out of 10 people don’t like Sam Dehne and what he does. Or…
    B. Votes are being stolen from Sam blatantly and to a degree that would make Hitler and Stalin jealous.
Bottom line… nobody cares.. or knows.
And either way it is a conundrum that cannot be over come.
Tomorrow will likely be Sam’s swan song at his last Reno city council Public comment podium.
    Or.. maybe not.

    Okay, one more:
A REALLY REALLY FREAKY VOTE COUNT
    (Congress District 2 – 16 counties)
The vote stealers were so arrogant that they didn’t even bother to set up the computers with some randomness.. with results from everywhere being exactly the same.
Every single one of the 16 counties voted precisely and exactly within
2 and 1/2% of the same.
    WHAT ARE THE CHANCES?
    WHAT ARE THE CHANCES?
    WHAT ARE THE CHANCES?
    ZERO!
2 virtual nobodies got almost all of the votes.

You’ve earned your respite from blogging, BUT as one of your faithful readers…Please Don’t Go. Or, was that a song title?

  5. PurpleNV:

Thanks so much for this blog. It’s not quite “the bitter end” as now he is a lame duck with nothing to lose, but technically, he has been voted out. Sigh. Reid & Sandoval are just too darn normal. Oh well, there’s still Angle & Ensign for entertainment value.

Good work. You deserve a rest. Get recharged. There’ll be more slime in need of exposure before you realize it.

  7. VGO:

Oh please, can you put a gallery view of all the nice little pictures you have created throughout this blog? Pls?
